Living healthy can help improve your everyday life and make you so much happier! Here are a couple things I do everyday to stay healthy and positive!
Th very first thing I do when I wake up is say 5 things I am grateful for. I have found that this puts me in the best state of mind possible at the earliest time! It just begins my day feeling so much happier because I am already reminded about how lucky I am to have the people I do around me doing what I love- pursing my dream Drinking Lots of Water Believe it or not, drinking more water can make you happier and feel better every day! I can always tell at the end of the day when I haven't had enough to drink. I usually feel very groggy, have a headache and just feel drained. I know, water can be very boring sometimes so I try and spruce mine up by adding lemons, limes, or my favorite mint and cucumbers! I am always so much happier when I am hydrated. Drinking lots of water can also improve your skin. Makeup/ Skincare 4 months ago I challenged myself to stop wearing foundation, and I am very proud to say that I succeeded in this challenge. Most young girls believe that in order to cover up their blemishes they need to cake on makeup to look perfect, when in reality it just takes a little more time taking care of your skin. I was able to take the money that I was saving on makeup and put it towards a Clarisonic cleaner. I used to have hyper pigmentation in my cheeks so I always had a red hue to my skin but now I have a very smooth, even skin tone. The other large benefit of this is it saves so much more time! Now all I really have to do is put on mascara and tidy up my eyebrows a bit. It seems like such a little thing but just decreasing the amount of makeup that I wear has really boosted my confidence and has really opened up my eyes about how damaging some makeup products can be to your skin Workout Regime Working out is one of my favorite activities outside of school and is one of the most crucial parts of my day. I can tell when I haven't had time to fit in a workout because I just don't feel like myself! Working out helps me to relieve stress and take my mind off of school. It helps to have a workout partner and a workout regime that you are following. This is also a nice time in my week that My boyfriend and I can have some quality time together without the stress of homework lingering over us. I have tried a couple of workout programs along with creating my own, but my all time favorite has to be Jamie Eason's 12 Week Transformation on the Body Building Website. It is a free training program that you can download on your phone and she has all the workouts, set numbers and food recommendations. She also has weekly videos for you to watch that are very motivating! Did I mention it's free?? http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jamie-eason-livefit-trainer-phase-1-day-20.html Another Workout program that I have tried is Way of Gray. I wanted something that was comparable to the Bikini Body Guide, but I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg and I was very surprised by this workout program! I really enjoyed this program because she has daily workout videos that you follow and she is very encouraging! The reason why I stopped with this program was because I wanted to incorporate more weights into my routine, however whenever I need to fit in a quick workout at home this is my go to program! My final tip for staying in shape is to meal prep ( the link to Jamie Eason's recipes is listed)! It makes staying on track during the weeks a lot easier and it takes the stress off of making lunches everyday. I am one of those people that I get very hangry very fast so this also helps to reduce the Hanger! I try to eat every 2 hours incorporating small, but healthy snacks in between each meal and drink lots of water!! Dont forget to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night!
